Allegedly Race-Fueled Chaos Erupts After Black Man Dies During Arrest
Earlier this week, George Floyd died during an arrest where an officer knelt on his neck. Yesterday, peaceful protests over his death turned violent. Looters ransacked stores while fires burned. Meanwhile, police remained around the homes of the officers involved in the death, and around their precinct buildings. Political and racial tensions run high, with bureaucrats taking sides. Ilhan Omar’s daughter appears to support the riots; the Trump Administration and many others decry them.
Pray for logical thinking to prevail. Pray for a peaceful end to the violence. Pray for God to foil the plans of those who seek to profit from the chaos — be they looters or bureaucrats. Pray for the safety of residents. Pray for true justice to arise in the nation. Pray for understanding among people groups. Pray for discernment and wisdom for officials and citizens to see through the agendas many parties are pushing. Pray for the truth to emerge.
