“Unmasking” Investigation Finds No Wrongdoing

No Crimes by Obama Admin Found During DOJ Investigation

AG Barr appointed US attorney John Bash to investigate Obama-era “unmasking” of US citizens. Unmasking occurs when intel officers reveal a citizen’s identity, usually after listening in on the citizen’s conversation with foreign officials. Identities are supposed to be protected under the 4th Amendment if no crime is suspected. Obama-appointed officials unmasked significant numbers of citizens.

Bash’s investigation closes without finding wrongdoing. There will likely be no public report of the investigation, disappointing those who wanted transparency.
